Common questions
I can’t sign in.
Reset your password via the “Forgot password?” link on the sign-in page, or email contact@purpl.au. If you originally signed up via Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google, use the same method — passwords aren’t set up for social-only accounts.
I want to delete my account.
Go to your account settings inside any organisation page and use the Delete account flow. Everything tied to your user is removed within 30 days. Visits you filed may persist as anonymised entries (your handle replaced with “former member”) so the team’s archive stays readable.
How do I leave an organisation?
Profile → switch to the org you want to leave → Settings → Leave organisation. If you’re the last admin of an organisation, promote someone else to admin first, or email us and we’ll help transition things.
A restaurant is missing from my list.
The dossier pulls restaurants from OpenStreetMap. If a place isn’t there, the underlying data is wrong or missing — add it on OpenStreetMap and it’ll appear in your org after the 24-hour cache expires (or you can refresh manually from Standing Orders).
How do invites work?
From Standing Orders → The Newsroom → Invite a colleague. You get a URL that can be redeemed up to a configurable number of times. Treat invite URLs like passwords. Revoke any you don’t want outstanding.
Push notifications aren’t coming through.
First, confirm push permission is granted in your browser settings. Then check Profile → Notifications and toggle the categories you want. If they’re still missing, email us with your browser and OS version.
Where do I see what data you collect?
Full disclosure in our Privacy Policy. Short version: email, display name, your organisation’s office + lunch days, the visits and ratings filed by you and your teammates, and a push token if you opt in. No location tracking, no ads, no third-party analytics.
